Is it just me….or does anyone else think this is simply a brilliant idea???
Leave it to Martha.
One of my kitchen pet peeves (yes, my pet peeves have categories) is hanging a dish towel I’ve been using on the oven door to let dry SO I CAN USE IT LATER…and then turning around to use it again and discovering it’s GONE! grrrrrrrrrrr.
Funny thing….I didn’t even realize this was a pet peeve until I saw this great idea for No-Slip Dish Towels! But I think the name should be changed to No-Slip Dish Towels with Built In Anti-Theft Device. I think I will “install” on of these devices and set up a hidden camera to catch the towel-stealing culprits in the act. I can imagine the look on their faces when they realize the towel is not going anywhere would be priceless. :-)
So, without further ado…..the long-awaited, closely guarded, super top secret, incredibly detailed instructions for making your own No-Slip Dish Towels with Built In Anti-Theft Device:
- Make it into a loop by attaching Velcro strips
to two ends, one on the front and one on the back, below. Stitch in place, or use iron-on Velcro strips
.
TADA!
Sometimes it’s the little things that make me really happy. :-)
And that’s today’s….

Genius! I’ve been reading everything from your blog. You’re a pretty smart lady! I just used the oil cleanser tonight on my face, and I got the stuff to make my own laundry soap today. I’m impressed. With five daughters between the ages of 2 and 12, we can stand to save money any way we can! I’m also excited about trying the tub cleaner! Thank you for all your posts! I am loving this! My husband keeps calling me the “mad scientist” but he’s excited that we’re saving money! He even told me my skin looks great after I cleanses it tonight with the oil! Thank you!
I am going to do this with the bathroom hand towel that the kids use and it ends up on the floor all the time….yuck!
