We are a family of iPhone users that love to upgrade the minute we have one available! :-) That means we have a lot of leftover phones and phone CASES. Since I had several sitting around in a desk drawer, I decided to see if I could find some ways to “repurpose” them. Here are a few useful and fun ideas that are good for your wallet and the environment.
(If you don’t happen to have any extra cases just lying around, you can get simple cases for old models for really cheap!)
Because of the hole for the camera, an old smartphone case makes the perfect tray for bar of soap or a sponge. It’s handy, cheap and drains right into the sink!
Pack a cell phone case in your luggage to use as a ring tray in your hotel room. I always leave things behind in my room, and definitely need something to keep small items tidy. :-)
Travelers can also use an old case as a makeshift luggage tag!
Protect your furniture from by using a smartphone case as a tray for votive candles.
Corral small items when crafting or taking something apart. I always manage to lose nails, but not anymore!
Use smartphone cases as coasters. This could be really cute with a set of matching cases!
What unusual items have you repurposed?
