If you’ve ever eaten at Magleby’s Fresh in Provo, Utah…you know of what I write. These tender little cheesy bites are one of the main reasons people flock to this eating establishment. Served hot, a little crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and with just the right amount of cheese flavor, these rolls have been a Magleby’s favorite for many years. I’ve even heard them described as “cheese-kissed little wonders”…and an appropriate description it is!
When I found this copy cat recipe at YourHomeBasedMom.com at two o’clock in the morning (don’t anyone tell my Mom!) I was sorely tempted to fire up the oven and bake some right then and there. They are that good!
AND that easy! To be quite honest, roll-making really isn’t my “thing”. I have never been very good at it (just ask my family). So when I see a “roll recipe” I usually pass on it. But this recipe calls for frozen dinner rolls…and I almost always have those in my freezer! They are a very versatile item to have on hand.
So if you want to “win friends and influence people” at your next party….or just make your family REALLY, REALLY happy….bake up a batch of these. I promise…you will be the most popular cook on the block!

- 1 bag of frozen dinner rolls
- Mayonnaise (amount depends on number of rolls you are making)
- Melted Butter
- Freshly shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Garlic Powder
- Dried Parsley
Place mayo in a bowl, melted butter in a bowl and freshly grated parmesan cheese (not the stuff in the green Kraft can).
Take the frozen ball of dough, dip the top half into each bowl starting with the mayo, then the butter and finally the cheese.
Place roll into a well greased muffin tin (cheese side up). Sprinkle with garlic powder and dried parsley and let rise according to the directions (usually 5-6 hours so you need to do this early on in the day) Bake according to directions on the package.
I told you! How easy is that??? Mmmmm….I need to go to sleep now so I can stop obsessing over these things….and dream about them instead. Tomorrow’s dinner can’t come soon enough! :-)
