Lemon Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Rind of 1 lemon

Glaze:

  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in order, and pour the batter into a greased and floured baking dish. Bake for 1 hour at 300 degrees.
  2. Let cool while you prepare the glaze.
  3. To make glaze whisk together the lemon juice and sugar.
  4. Pour over the cake.
