Pie a la Mode Ice cream cone

My local grocery store has been unfairly tempting me with great sales on their bakery pies lately. And I never know which flavor to choose because they all sound so tasty, so I usually end up bringing two or three different kinds home. This makes my family happy, because everyone gets to choose the flavor of pie they want, but it generally means that eventually there will be a few half-eaten pies cluttering my kitchen surfaces.

  3. Take your ice cream out of the freezer and allow it to soften. You want it to be soft and easily stirred, but not runny.
  4. Once your pie pieces have firmed up, scoop your softened ice cream into a container add the pie pieces a few at a time, mixing them into the ice cream with a spoon.
  5. Once your pie pieces are mixed into the ice cream, place the container back into the freezer until the ice cream has firmed up again.
  6. Use an ice cream scoop to scoop the ice cream into cones, and enjoy!
