I don’t have any babies in the house anymore, but I always have a bottle of baby oil! I usually choose coconut oil in my DIY beauty products, but there are lots of ways to use this cheaper oil all over the home. (You can also get organic baby oil at many sources, including Amazon.)
Check out a few of my favorite uses:
Help make your DIY manicure a little more tidy by using baby oil on your cuticles before painting the nails.
Use it as a shaving liquid AND as an after-shave oil.
Help a tangled necklace chain unwind with just a drop of oil.
Coax a too-tight ring off your finger. Careful – it will slip right off!
Mix baby oil into your shower gel to soften skin and make the bottle last longer!
Rub some on your cracked feet before bed and put on a pair of socks. You’ll wake up with much softer feet!
Remove eye makeup with a bit of baby oil dabbed on a cotton round. It comes right off!
Clean wax build-up out of your ear with a few drops. Let it sit and dissolve the wax for a few minutes, and then hop in the shower for a warm water rinse.
Condition makeup brushes after a good cleaning to keep them soft and moisturized.
Remove a tough band-aid by saturating it in oil. Baby oil will also remove temporary tattoos and all kinds of stickers! Mix it with some baking soda and let it sit on a label that just won’t come off.
Clean your hands after getting grease or paint on them.
Shine wood, leather, steel and chrome by buffing with just a bit of oil! This works on you dashboard, golf clubs, and anything else that needs a little moisture and shine. :-)
Lubricate a squeaky hinge without having to buy WD-40. Baby oil smells better and is much cheaper, too!
Soak a piece of paper in baby oil and run it through the shredder to keep things running smoothly.
