I really like the idea of having a “family command center” where everyone can leave messages, make lists, check the calendar, etc. What I don’t like is having that clutter take up valuable space in the kitchen!
My kitchen has a few decorative touches, but for the most part I try to keep things out-of-sight for a tidy and clutter-free look. That’s why I decided to make a handy organization station inside the kitchen cupboard! It’s hidden but still easily accessible, and it doesn’t take up any space on my walls or on the fridge. Organization perfection!
I also found a cute pad of sticky notes that are perfect for making a shopping list! It stays put in the kitchen until I’m ready, and then I can take it with me. :-)
My favorite part is this index card organizer, which I filled with recipe cards! The divider tabs make it easy to sort recipes alphabetically or by category.
I used command strips to hang everything because they’re strong and durable, but they come off easily without leaving residue behind. The strips are also velcro, so I can take down my recipe box to rifle through the cards. Perfect!
My command center is pretty minimal, but it has everything I need (including the ability to disappear when I want it to!)
Here are some more “command center” ideas I found that aren’t “hidden” but I still thought were worth sharing:
