I love learning about different, non-traditional uses for stuff. Learning how to do more with less has saved me quite a bit of time, effort, and money over the years! And not only is it practical to learn all the different ways you can use what you already have at home, but it can also be fun and (if youโre really lucky) DELICIOUS! Todayโs post is all of that and more, because Iโm sharing 6 different things you can make using store-bought pizza dough.

Whether you buy the pizza dough that comes in a can, or fresh dough from a bakery or pizzeria, thereโs no denying that pre-made dough is the easiest way to make homemade pizza. But I recently learned that store-bought pizza dough is capable of becoming so much more than just pizza! This one simple dough can serve as the base for all kinds of home-baked snacks and treats. So without further ado, here are 6 delicious (and super simple!) things you can make with store-bought pizza dough.
6 Delicious Ways To Use Store-Bought Pizza Dough

1. Crackers
You can use pizza dough to make some seriously delicious crackers! These crackers taste homemade, and are the perfect match for your favorite dip.
To make crackers, roll out your pizza dough until itโs really thin. Poke the dough all over with a fork, then drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake the dough at 400ยฐF for about 5 minutes. Flip the bread over and cook for another minute or two, until crisp. Let the bread cool, then cut it into cracker-sized pieces. Yum!

2. Dinner Rolls
Use pizza dough to make deliciously fluffy dinner rolls! Just roll the dough into balls about 1″ in diameter. Place two dough bags into each of the cavities of an oiled muffin tin, and let the dough rise for about 40 minutes. Then lightly brush the tops of the dough with oil, sprinkle with salt, and place the muffin tin in the oven. Bake at 400ยฐF for about 20 minutes, until the tops of the rolls are golden-brown.

3. Baguettes
Use prepared pizza dough to make a fresh and tasty baguette! Roll the dough into a small log, then let it rise for 40 or so minutes until it doubles in size. Lightly brush the top with butter or olive oil, and bake at 400ยฐF for about 20 minutes.

4. Breadsticks
Everyone loves breadsticks, and making your own using pizza dough couldnโt be easier! Roll your pizza dough into long, skinny sticks, then bake at 400ยฐF for about 10 minutes, or until golden-brown.

5. Pot Pies
Use prepared pizza dough to make super easy pot pies. Fill ramekins with your favorite pot pie filling, then lay a piece of rolled-out pizza dough over the top of each ramekin. Brush the tops of the dough pieces with olive oil, then bake at 350ยฐF for 30 minutes. Once the filling is heated through and the dough is golden-brown, theyโre ready!

6. Fry Bread (AKA Utah Scones)
Fry bread (which we call a “scone” here in Utah) is a summertime staple around here! You can make your own fry bread using prepared pizza dough. Slather it with butter and serve it with honey or cinnamon sugar for a delicious treat!
To make fry bread, separate your pizza dough into balls. Roll out the balls, then fry them in a shallow pan with a thin layer of oil over medium heat. Cook each side of the bread for about 3 minutes, then transfer them to a plate lined with a paper towel. Serve warm, and enjoy! :-)

Iโve used the pizza dough to try the crazy bread -Little Caesarโs and Jillees version of Dominoโs pizza Cinnamon Stix. Itโs been several years. They were so good.

Please log in or create a free account to comment.I just found, and will be trying, the 2 ingredient pizza dough made with 1 1/2 cups self rising flour and 1 cup yogurt. I’ve been told it is very good. There are oodles of youtube videos on making it. I’m sure you could make these same recipes with this dough too.

Okay I can post the Calzone recipe. I was at work and then I had to hunt it down at home.
Itโs called Quick and Easy Calzones from the Six Sisters Stuff blog
Ingredients
1 13.8 oz refrigerated pizza crust ( we used the pillsbury one)
1/2 c pizza sauce
1 c shredded mozzarella cheese
1 T butter, melted
Italian seasoning , to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese, to taste
Oops I forgot to put 18 slices pepperoni
1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray baking sheet with non- stick cooking spray ( or use a baking mat).
2. Roll out the pizza crust and cut it into 6 equal- sized squares.
3.In the middle of each square, place a portion of pizza sauce, shredded cheese and pepperoni.
4.Fold the dough over into a triangle, and use a fork to press along the edges of the triangle to seal it closed.
5.Place calzones onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top of each calzone with butter, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese.
6.,Place in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until tops are golden brown. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Christym, thank you so much for sharing. Have to give them a try.
I tried to copy your calzone recipe but could not. Could you possibly send it to me via email? jujones1938@aol.com
I will try to later. Itโs late and I just barely saw your request.
I love the idea of making bread sticks with the dough! I imagine you could also roll them in sesame seeds before baking! <3
