My kids always know that when they see something unexpected in the freezer, I’m usually the one responsible for it. I can’t help it – I LOVE frozen treats! I’m always freezing new things to try and find my next frozen treat obsession. If I had to choose a few all-time faves, I would probably say it’s frozen grapes, frozen Reese’s Cups, and the frozen yogurt dots that I’ll be sharing with you today!
Not only do frozen yogurt dots make a delicious and healthy snack, but they’re fun to eat, too! I’m sure that even the pickiest of eaters would be delighted to have a bowl of these for dessert or as a snack.
And if you want to take your frozen yogurt dots up another level, there are plenty of ways to customize them! Mix them up with some granola or fresh berries to make a great summertime breakfast, or serve them with a snickerdoodle cookie or brownie bits to make a decadent dessert. The sky’s the limit with this one!
Here’s how you can make your own frozen yogurt dots at home.
Watch me make these tasty little yogurt dots in the video at the end of this post!
How To Make Frozen Yogurt Dots
You’ll need:
- Yogurt
- Small ziplock bag
- Scissors
- Cookie sheet
- Silpat or parchment paper
Directions:
Start by spooning your favorite cup of yogurt into a small ziplock baggie. Seal the bag when you’re done filling it.
Next, prepare your cookie sheet by lining it with one of my oven mats, a silpat, or a sheet of parchment paper.
Then use your scissors to snip off one of the bottom corners of the ziplock bag to create a piping bag. Pipe little dots of yogurt onto the liner you’ve placed on the cookie sheet.
When you’re done piping the dots, place the cookie sheet into your freezer to allow the yogurt dots to freeze. It should take about 20 minutes or so, depending on the size of your dots.
When the dots are all frozen solid, peel them away from the paper or mat. Scoop them into a small bowl and serve. You can use a spoon if you feel like it, but they make a pretty great finger food, too!
Hi there, will these melt if left at room temperature? How long will they be ok for? I’m thinking party food but don’t want them melting all over the table! Thanks :)

Please log in or create a free account to comment. They won’t stick together as long as they are completely frozen before you put them in the bag. :-)
