I’m not a TikTok user myself, but it has proven a valuable resource for keeping abreast of the latest viral cleaning and housekeeping hacks. One trending product that recently caught my eye is Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater — I’ve seen dozens of videos showing people using this spray to remove stains, apparently instantly!
I knew I needed to get my hands on this spray to test it — for all our sakes! After buying it and putting it to the test, I’m ready to share my experience and honest review of this popular stain remover spray.
What Is Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater?
Advertised as “strong but safe,” Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater is aimed at parents dealing with the fallout of their kids’ everyday food and drink mishaps. A small bottle costs around $10 on Amazon, but you can get it for less if you buy multiple bottles.
Putting It To The Test
To test this stain remover, I first tried it on a strawberry jam stain on one of my white microfiber cloths. I also deliberately stained a white cotton t-shirt with six different foods to determine if the spray was more effective on certain stains:
- Yellow mustard
- Cocoa powder
- Blueberries
- Teriyaki sauce
- Blackberry jam
- Ketchup
My Honest Review Of Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater
The Good News
After applying Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater to a strawberry jam stain on one of my dish towels, I could hardly believe my eyes as I watched the stain virtually disappear. After washing the towel according to the directions on the bottle, it looked pristine — like the jam stain had never even happened!
During my t-shirt test, Miss Mouth’s was similarly effective on the teriyaki sauce, blackberry jam, and ketchup stains. After applying it and rubbing it in, those stains were nearly invisible, and a quick wash took care of the rest!
Though less important than its effectiveness, I also noted and appreciated that this stain remover doesn’t have a pronounced scent. (Not a deal-breaker or maker, but worth mentioning!)
The Bad News
While Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater does seem to work instantly on many stains, there appear to be limits to its miraculous powers.
During my t-shirt stain test, I observed that this stain remover wasn’t as effective on the mustard, chocolate, and blueberry stains. Even after rubbing it into the stains and washing the shirt as directed, the mustard, chocolate, and blueberry stains remained visible.
After applying my DIY Ultimate Stain Remover Spray on those three stubborn stains and washing the shirt again, only the tenacious yellow mustard stain remained, though it was very faint.
Jillee’s Take:
The Bottom Line
Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater does work amazingly well (and quickly!) on certain food stains. I also appreciate that it works on these stains without needing to wash the stained item right away, since that would be helpful if you were out of the house or in a big hurry.
But I only observed those miraculous results after applying Miss Mouth’s to certain food stains, so I would recommend adjusting your expectations accordingly. You may experience miraculous results almost instantly, but your mileage will probably vary!
