favorite homemade cleaners

Recently I felt inspired to put together a compilation of all my very favorite homemade cleaners so that I could have easy access to them. It also occurred to me that this could be a useful resource for you too, so that’s what I’m sharing today! Hopefully this will serve as a nice reference post that you can bookmark and get to lickety-split when you need it. And of course you’ll want to share it with all your family and friends! ;-)

This obviously isn’t a comprehensive list of all the cleaners I have tried and/or use, but I did try to narrow it down to make it a manageable (and useful) list. I tried to narrow it down to the ones I use on a regular basis or have found to be most useful overall. And even with those parameters, I still couldn’t even narrow it down to a list of ten! So thirteen will have to do. ;-) Now on to that list!

1. Kitchen & Bathroom “Miracle” Cleaner

This cleaner has gone through a couple of different “interpretations,” but the ingredients remain the same as the very first time I used it! It can be used to great effect in the kitchen, the bathroom, and beyond. Give it a try, and soon you’ll be cleaning up grime you didn’t even know was possible to remove!

5. Enzyme Cleaner

This enzyme cleaner is a lesson in patience because it has to sit for two weeks before you can use it. But it is well worth the wait! You can use it for just about anything – from clearing blockages in sinks and drains, to mopping floors, washing cars, cleaning ovens, fertilizing plants, and even as a facial cleanser.

6. Kitchen Cabinet Cleaner

This is one of those cleaners that’s great for any perfectionists out there! ;-) I never noticed just how grimy my cabinets were until I looked really closely. And at that point I couldn’t walk away until I found a solution. I love this method because it only has two ingredients, and it works like a charm to get ground-in grime out of all the little nooks and crannies.

Jillee, you had a great spray recipe before for a strong liquid cleaner with either hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol as the base. I made it once and would like to do that again but I can’t find that same recipe. Please help ? Thanks, Anna Belle

I really like your CLEANING recipes. I’d like to inquire on your mason jar sprayer with the plastic lid. Did you buy or make this? If you DIYd it, could give instructions please? I’ve tried with the metal lid & it turned into a rusted mess…yuck!

What a great line-up of cleaners! I have used a few of them since your post, I wasn’t in the mood to deal with some of them the first time around, and some of them I don’t remember at all. Today was a good day to get me started on more! Thank you!
