While it may not LOOK a lot like Christmas around here yet, it’s sure beginning to SMELL like it! My daughter Britta and I decided to do a little experimenting yesterday to come up with a blend of essential oils for diffusing that would make the house smell “merry and bright!” I’ve been diffusing it non-stop ever since. It has definitely given me a much needed mental boost. My grinch-like mood has been greatly improved….much to the delight of my family. :-)
Here is what we came up with:
Holiday Diffuser Blend
- 2 drops Wild Orange essential oil
- 4 drops Cinnamon Bark essential oil
- 5 drops White Fir essential oil
- 2 drops Frankincense essential oil (optional)
Add essential oils directly to the water in your diffuser and enjoy! Everyone who walked in the door yesterday said it smelled like Christmas in the house!
Since yesterday I have made a few sample bottles of the blend to give to friends which made me think of all the other DIY products I’ve made on the blog over the years that would also make great gifts!
There’s just something about making homemade products that are safe, natural, and effective that is so satisfying. That is why I am such a fan of essential oils and why I make so many of my own products that include them.
So here are 25 Homemade Holiday Gift Ideas with Essential Oils that I hope will provide inspiration for your gift-giving this year!
