Buying in bulk can be a great way to save, and one of the best places to buy things in bulk is from warehouse stores like Costco or Sam’s Club. Some people who are extra enthusiastic about bulk buying are even building “Costco doors” in their garages that open into their pantries so they can slide bulky items into the house instead of carrying them in. (If I had money to burn, a door like that would actually be pretty sweet!)
But buying in bulk isn’t much of a money-saver if you can’t keep track of what you have on hand and where it’s stored. Luckily, I’ve got a printable to share with you that will help you keep track of all your bulk purchases!

Today’s free download is a bulk storage log you can use to write down what you have, how much of it you have on hand, and where it’s stored. (This will come in handy if you’re like me and are frequently surprised by the contents of your own storage closets!)
How To Use The Bulk Item Storage Log
Download the PDF file, print out as many copies as you need, and do a quick inventory of the bulk items you currently have on hand. The more detailed you can be, the more useful the log will be in the future.
Then next time you go to Costco, you can check your log to see what you’re running low on while you make your list. Then when you get home, you can update your log to include whatever you brought home.
Bonus Tips For Using This Printable
- Consider laminating this printable or putting it in a sheet protector so you can write on it with a dry erase marker. It’ll be easy to update and you’ll save paper!
- Hang the printable inside your pantry or storage closet door to make it easier to remember to use it.
- Try not to log smaller items or things you don’t buy frequently. If you turn it into too much of a chore, you won’t use it in a way that actually makes it helpful!
- If you store bulk items in two or more different areas, you could keep a different log for each area to make things simpler.
