Whether it’s homemade or store-bought, I always prefer to use cleaning products that can be used to clean multiple different surfaces. It just makes things so much simpler, and it’s a more cost-effective way to clean the house too. That’s why all-purpose cleaning products are always at the center of my cleaning arsenal! I have a few favorites that I gravitate towards, but I was curious about what cleaners other people were using and loving. So I scoured the comments from here on my blog, comments on my Facebook page, and Amazon customer reviews, and I came up with a list of all-purpose cleaners that are very highly thought of. And that’s what I’ll be sharing with you today!
Here’s a list of 13 of the best all-purpose cleaning products out there. There are plenty of store-bought options for those who prefer to buy their cleaners, and a couple of homemade options if you’d rather make them yourself. Either way, I think you’re sure to find your new favorite cleaning product somewhere in this list! :-) (If you already have a favorite all-purpose cleaner and it didn’t make this list, I’d still love to hear about it! Leave a comment at the bottom of this post and tell me all about it, and we can keep the conversation going!)
13 Of The Best All-Purpose Cleaning Products
If you’ve never given Bar Keepers Friend a try, I highly encourage you to do so! It’s pretty astonishing what this powdered cleaner is capable of. It’s perfect for cleaning and erasing marks and stains on porcelain, stainless steel, copper, fiberglass, tile, and more! The secret behind its seemingly magical cleaning ability is oxalic acid, which breaks up rust, lime, and other stubborn stains at the molecular level. You’ll never know how amazing this stuff is until you try it for yourself! :-)
Powerizer detergent is a relatively new discovery of mine, and I couldn’t be happier that a product like this finally exists! It’s the world’s first two-in-one laundry AND dishwasher detergent, but that’s not all it can do! You can use this powdered detergent to clean tile, mirrors, stovetops, and more! See my blog post about Powerizer below to get the inside scoop on this money-saving powerhouse cleaner!
3. Magic Eraser
Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are a perennial favorite of the entire OGT Team (and many of our readers!) 4. Castile Soap
Castile soap is derived from vegetable oil, resulting in a concentrated soap that’s both gentle and biodegradable. But just because it’s gentle doesn’t mean it isn’t effective! Castile soap is gentle enough to use in homemade bath and body products or to use as a fruit & veggie wash, but it’s tough enough on messes to clean your toilet bowl! Check out the post below to learn even more useful things you can do with castile soap!
Hydrogen peroxide is one of the least expensive cleaners you can buy, and it’s readily available at most supermarkets! The oxidizing power of hydrogen peroxide can help lift stains out of clothes, whiten teeth, and clean and brighten all kinds of surfaces around your home. Check out my list of 30 uses for hydrogen peroxide below! (And for even more useful information about hydrogen peroxide, be sure to check out my eBook Hydrogen Peroxide Magic!
