As someone who frequently suffers from headaches and migraines, I know how disruptive they can be. Headaches donโt care about your schedule, your to-do list, or whether they derail your productivity for hours at a time.
But I have a solution that will not only be useful to frequent headache sufferers like me but can also help those who experience occasional head pain or tension. It’s one of the oil blends I was most eager to add to the Essentials by Jillee lineup: Complete Relief Essential Oil Blend!
What Is Complete Relief?
Complete Relief is a blend of marjoram, black pepper, basil, spike lavender, and copaiba essential oils. Between the pain-relieving properties of black pepper, spike lavender, and copaiba oil, and the soothing effects of marjoram and basil oil, this blend is perfectly suited to help ease tension in the head and neck.
I really like the aroma of this blend โ it’s herbaceous but slightly spicy at the same time. It’s different from the smell of other headache blends Iโve used in the past (in a good way!).

I made sure to make Complete Relief available in a convenient Roll-On format so it’s handy to use on the go. It’s the perfect size to tuck into your purse or pocket, so it’s always there to grab when you feel a headache coming on.

Putting Complete Relief To The Test
At this point, I’ve used Complete Relief to help relieve dozens of headaches by rolling it over my temples or the back of my neck, and my super-sensitive skin has never shown any signs of sensitivity after applying it. (My skin is easily irritated, so that’s a big deal in my world!)
But the thing I like most about Complete Relief isn’t how well it works for me โ it’s how it’s helping other people! Just check out these reviews:
Iโve suffered from migraines for over 50 years. Acupuncture helps, but sometimes driving there is just too much, with a headache throbbing. As a headache came on last week, I tried this on my temples and the back of my neck, where vertebrae get twisted, causing the throbbing. In less than 10 min, the throbbing let up and I was able to function. Amazing!

The word is on the bottle: RELIEF. This little bottle is the closest thing to me on my nightstand. As soon as I wake up with a trace of a headache, I reach out for my miracle cure. I already ordered another, so I never run out of it. Complete Relief is really the best way to describe it. Thanks for thinking of us, headache sufferers, Jillee!

“Relief” is right! I bought Complete Relief for a friend who suffers from allergies, headaches, and sinus congestion. She started using this, and is now off two medications. She says she feels great and is glad she doesn’t have to suffer from the side effects of her meds.

Wondering exactly how to use Complete Relief to help soothe away headache pain, or prevent it from happening in the first place? Here are three easy options:

3 Ways To Use Complete Relief For Headaches
1. Apply It Topically
When you feel a headache coming on, use the Complete Relief Ready-To-Apply Roll-On, and apply a bit to your temples, forehead, or the back of your neck. The Roll-On is pre-diluted for safe and easy application.
If Iโve been feeling stressed or tense during the day, I like to apply it before hopping in the shower before bed. The warm water and steam make the effect of the oils even more soothing!
2. Make A Compress
Combine Complete Relief with a hot or cold compress for double the headache relief! Just roll the oil on the back of your neck or onto your temples, then add a hot or cold compress over the top. (My homemade heating pad works perfectly for a hot compress, while this DIY Chillow makes an incredibly soothing cold compress.)
Lie down for a while with your compress, and you’ll be back on your feet in no time.
3. Massage It In
Give yourself a soothing foot massage with Complete Relief! Or better yet, recruit someone else to give you that soothing massage! ;-)
Simply roll a little Complete Relief on the bottoms of your feet and massage it in. (The bottoms of your feet are an excellent application point for therapeutic essential oils, no matter what ails you!)
Not Just For Headaches
As is the case with many essential oils blends (and one of the things I love the most about essential oils), Complete Relief can be used for more than just headaches! Many OGT readers have found that it relieves pain just about anywhere on the body.
Hereโs what a few of them had to say:
I live with constant severe pain but am struggling to live as healthily and normally as possible. I rub this product on my wrists, behind my ears, and sometimes on the soles of my feet. Since I started using Complete Relief, I can actually easily fall asleep AND sleep for 6-7 hours. This hasnโt happened since I became sick over 20 years ago. I am overjoyed.

I have nearly instantaneous relief when I apply it to my left thumb. What a life saver. I have never had arthritis before the last year and it isn’t every day. I’ve ordered a second to carry in my purse. Thank you for this product.

Have carpal tunnel & arthritis of hands/wrists from 40+ years of typing. The Complete Relief Ready-to-Apply DOES help. Believe me, I was skeptical. Easy to use at anytime/anywhere. I would definitely order again.

Please log in or create a free account to comment.Essential oils do not suit everyone and kust as people can have allergies to specific flowers, so too can people have allergies or adverse reactions to essential oils; if you are trying to conceive, pregnant or breastfeeding you shoul consult a qualified aromatherapist; oils should never be used on babies, younger and pre-pubescent children without a qualified aromatherapist.
If you are epileptic, have liver damage, have cancer, or have any other medical problem, use oils only under the proper guidance of a qualified aromatherapy practitioner.
When I had migraines, just the smell of ANYTHING would turn me inside-out. The chiropractor set me straight. Going from 4-6/yr for 15yrs to nothing is a God-send. But using EOs does keep me happy and energized (as well as keeps away spiders!).
Please log in or create a free account to comment.I have never commented before, but today I felt it important enough to create an account so I can tell people what controls my daily migraines. I was on a prescription medication from a neurologist, but felt as if I was in a fog. I read in “Reader’s Digest” years ago about a medical study that suggested taking 300 mg Vitamin B-2 and 1000 mg Magnesium in divided doses through the day. This cured my migraines and my brain fog. I stopped the prescription medication and have only a migraine once or twice a year, caused by heat or extreme stress. Over the years, I have tried stopping the supplements and the migraines come back. Also, I cannot take pain medications every day, if I take them too routinely, they will cause a “rebound” headache or migraine. I have fibromyalgia and spinal arthritis, so have to use other avenues to control my pain.

Please log in or create a free account to comment. You can use other blends besides this one. Iโve had great success with just peppermint and lavender. I agree some of the blends are pricey. One thing that wasnโt mentioned but really helps is be sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. I try to when Iโm not working. I try to limit how my intake at work.
Please log in or create a free account to comment.Jillee, as a regular headache sufferer I’m really excited about your new blend. Thank-you! I can’t afford to buy both the bottle of oil and the roller bottle. Can you please tell me how many drops of the oil I should use in a 10 ml roller bottle?
Please log in or create a free account to comment. When making your own roller bottles, I suggest starting with just 5-10 drops, and increasing if necessary. :-) That way, you get the most out of your oils!
