The full story of how and why I started blogging can be found on my About page, but to make a long story short: I started finding and sharing “one good thing” every day to help me stay sober after leaving a residential treatment center for alcoholism.
It helped me find real joy and a sense of purpose in my role as a homemaker. It also connected me with so many of you who face your own battles, big and small, within the walls of your home
With 13 years’ worth of helpful tips, tricks, and hacks under my belt, I’m always looking for new ways to get those tips off the internet and into your life. To that end, I’m very excited to tell you all about the project that was more than a year in the making!

The “Why Didn’t I Think Of That?” Perpetual Daily Calendar
My perpetual daily tips calendar — “Why Didn’t I Think of That? 365 Tips & Tricks to Solve Life’s Little Problems” — is a bit like my blog in miniature because it features “one good thing” every day!
The daily tips in this calendar cover just about every aspect of life at home, from cleaning and laundry to beauty and organization. I’ve poured all my first-hand experience and research into these pages, so you can trust that every tip has received my OGT Seal of Approval!

Why a calendar? An easel-style tabletop calendar was the perfect format to house all my quickest, most practical tips. It’s compact enough to display somewhere where you’ll see it every day, and with each day’s page bearing one useful tip, you’ll never be overwhelmed by advice!
I hope every time you flip a new page over, you imagine me there with you cheering you on! I’ll be shaking my pom-poms for you as you expertly clean your ceiling fans, magically make stains disappear, and whip up meals even your pickiest eaters will love.

Highlights Of The Perpetual Calendar
- The color and symbol on each page indicate which category the tip belongs to (i.e. beauty, cleaning, etc.)
- Each page includes my personal take or twist on the day’s tip.
- This calendar is perpetual, meaning you can flip back to the first page at the end of the year and use it all over again!

What Are OGT Readers Saying?
I might be a little biased, but since getting my copy of this calendar back in March, the simple ritual of turning the page each morning has quickly become one of my favorite parts of the day. It’s been such a joy to hear from so many of you who’ve added this daily moment of inspiration to your routines, too. Here are just a few of the reviews you’ve shared:
“I’ve had this calendar for a few weeks now and I’ve learned or been reminded of something VALUABLE each day – my rule is not to take sneak peeks ahead! It’s well-constructed on heavy stock, designed beautifully, and sits unobtrusively on my desk next to my computer. What a clever idea – thank you so much for coming up with yet another brilliant idea, Jillee!”
Carol O.
“I just love this perpetual calendar. It’s so colorful and handy. I look forward to Jillee’s emails every day because she always has such helpful tips for things I never would have thought of. Now I can look at these different tips daily and the calendar will never expire. Thank you for another great idea!”
Kristin F.
“I SMILE every time I look at my (Jillee’s) calendar! First, because I love Jillee; second because this calendar is useful every day. It is nice to simply look at, in addition, the tips are practical. I bought 4 of these, obviously 3 of them will be gifts. Jillee, you bless so many people, and you don’t even know it!”
Alvalee W.
“I have always liked perpetual calendars. This one is extra special with its pretty design and so many tips of useful tricks information. I like the way it is color-coded too. Thanks, Jillee!”
Teresa A.
“I bought these for my 2 sisters and sister-in-law. If you follow Jillee and love her hints you will love this calendar. My sisters are enjoying it as well!”
Melinda T.
Note: One piece of feedback I heard loud and clear was about the need to flip the calendar around every day after turning the page. I took that to heart and reworked the page order—now, you’ll only need to turn it around once, halfway through the year!
