The Ultimate Romantic Soundtrack For Valentine’s Day
While this holiday gets a lot of flak from those who think it’s too commercial, personally I’ve always enjoyed it! Yes, there’s candy and flowers and a fair amount of retail chaos, but I prefer to focus on what Valentine’s Day is supposed to be about — celebrating love and romance! :-)
I may be a bit biased toward Valentine’s Day though, as it’s also the anniversary of when Dave asked me to marry him back in 1987. Though we’ve certainly had our fair share of ups and downs, we’ll always be each other’s “valentine!” (He is, after all, the love of my life, my partner through thick and thin, the father of my children, and my best friend!) :-)
We always look forward to celebrating together in some way, which usually involves a special dinner and exchanging gifts. But I’ve also been working on something that I think will make not only our at-home Valentine’s date a little more special (and even more romantic!), but that I hope will enhance your Valentine’s plans too!

Because I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—no occasion is complete without music! That’s why I’ve put together a Valentine’s playlist featuring several of my all-time favorite love songs, and I’m excited to share it with all of you today! :-)
Set The Mood For Romance With This Valentine’s Playlist
In my “Valentine’s With Jillee” playlist, I simply had to include the two songs that Dave and I consider to be “our songs” — “Crazy For You” by Madonna and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Starship (formerly Jefferson Starship).
I’ve also included a few favorites of members of the OGT Team, like my daughter-in-law Kaitlyn and son Erik’s song “You’re the Reason I Come Home” by Ron Pope, as well as some love songs suggested by OGT readers on social media.
(Speaking of which, I reach out on social media fairly regularly seeking input or suggestions on blog posts I’m working on, and I’d love to hear from you! Follow me on Instagram at @byjillee.)
I’ll be listening to the upbeat “Valentine’s With Jillee” playlist for days, and I hope you enjoy it too! Just like with my Christmas playlist and Spring Cleaning playlist, you can stream my Valentine’s playlist on Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify.
