Simple Handmade Gifts – Part Eight

A charming collection of simple handmade gifts, featuring a delightful collage of items such as pencils, jars, and a bunny.

I just love doing this kind of post! It is so fun to just get lost in the pursuit of simple handmade gifts. Just when I think I can’t possibly find anything new….I find dozens of ideas and then spend hours trying to decide which ones to use!

This happens to be my eighth installment of this post. I started with Parts One, Two, Three, and Four back in 2011 then added Parts Five, Six, and Seven in 2012. This is the first one I’ve been able to get to this year….so I packed it chock full of ideas!

I hope you enjoy….and more importantly are inspired in your handmade gift-giving this year. I know I’m going to try my hand at several on this list!

  4. My sister-in-law made a flannel lap quilt for me years ago (and her kids helped tie it.) Even though the print is wintery (snow men, etc.) I keep it on the back of the sectional year-round so I can easily grab it any time I want to curl up and get warm. Thank you for the giveaway!

  5. my sister in law makes gifts a lot of the time for the holidays. my favorite was from a few years ago, she filled a mason jar with holiday scented potpourri and a small string of white lights – i left it out all year!! i replaced the potpourri once the holiday scent died off too!

  6. The best homemade gift I ever received and I continue to receive for birthdays, Mother’s Day, ect. is these cotton crocheted kitchen dish rags. Because they’re made from thick cotton yarn they’re very absorbent and they are crocheted kinda loose so they also scrub really well when wet. I always receive a stack of four or five and wrapped in a pretty vintage ribbon and I use them tell they literally fall apart after washing them over and over for years. I love just white ones cause you can bleach them and they come out looking new every time…great gift, well at least for me!!
