Simple Handmade Gifts – Part Eight

A charming collection of simple handmade gifts, featuring a delightful collage of items such as pencils, jars, and a bunny.

I just love doing this kind of post! It is so fun to just get lost in the pursuit of simple handmade gifts. Just when I think I can’t possibly find anything new….I find dozens of ideas and then spend hours trying to decide which ones to use!

This happens to be my eighth installment of this post. I started with Parts One, Two, Three, and Four back in 2011 then added Parts Five, Six, and Seven in 2012. This is the first one I’ve been able to get to this year….so I packed it chock full of ideas!

I hope you enjoy….and more importantly are inspired in your handmade gift-giving this year. I know I’m going to try my hand at several on this list!

  1. The best handmade gift I received was a ceramic light up Christmas tree. I was given it when I was 6 years old and 20 years later I still have it and it’s not Christmas until I set it up. I hope to pass it on to my son some day so that he can enjoy it as much as I have.

  6. One of my favorite handmade gifts I received was a small pin cushion. The fabric had pictures of circa 1900-1910 shoes. Where the shoes buttoned, my friend had pushed in a matching colored pin. A small touch, but it made the gift so special.

  9. The best handmade gift I have received was a cute hand-crocheted jacket for my daughter when she was born. Her sister then went on to wear it also. And 22 years later I am now going to give it to my first grand baby who will be born in April. So special. It is one of the few things I have saved!
