Simple Handmade Gifts – Part Eight

A charming collection of simple handmade gifts, featuring a delightful collage of items such as pencils, jars, and a bunny.

I just love doing this kind of post! It is so fun to just get lost in the pursuit of simple handmade gifts. Just when I think I can’t possibly find anything new….I find dozens of ideas and then spend hours trying to decide which ones to use!

This happens to be my eighth installment of this post. I started with Parts One, Two, Three, and Four back in 2011 then added Parts Five, Six, and Seven in 2012. This is the first one I’ve been able to get to this year….so I packed it chock full of ideas!

I hope you enjoy….and more importantly are inspired in your handmade gift-giving this year. I know I’m going to try my hand at several on this list!

  1. I don’t know that it’s “simple” but it’s definitely my favorite. My grandma made me her homemade divinity when I was a kid. Now she makes it every year for Christmas because she knows how much I love it. I have the best grandma in the world!

  3. I haven’t received it yet (hoping I will at Christmas) but my husband’s Grandma (Grandma-in-law?) is making us a wedding quilt!! She made us several strands of bunting for our wedding and so she’s re-using that fabric + fabric we used for our ceremony backdrop to make the quilt. I will treasure it forever!! :D

  4. One of my favorite handmade gifts was an essential oil lavender room spray a student’s mother gave me. I spray it in my daughter’s room before naps and at bed time to help soothe her to sleep. It was a great gift!

    • Oh, and the best handmade gift I’ve ever received… well, I’m a bit crafty and my sweet hubby felt like he couldn’t buy a card, so he’s gotten in the habit of making cards, complete with hand-drawn images, cute wording, etc. It makes me tear up every time!
